Dr.
Timothy Volmer Tells All
Timothy
Vollmer, M.D. is an associate professor of neurology, and the director
of the Yale Neuroimmunology Program. He's also the director of the NARCOMS
registry.
Dr. Vollmer spoke in depth of his current involvement in the advances made in the treatment of MS. He displayed an uncommon ability to articulate an evolving biotechnology focused on MS. As he spoke, one could observe the analytical manner in which a solution is evolving through his all-telling account of failures as well as successes.
In recent years the Yale Neuroimmunology Program
has been sponsored by Teva to conduct clinical trials
of their product, Copaxone. Dr. Vollmer explained why he
thought Copaxone was the next generation MS treatment.

Dear Susan,
Thank you for your interest in the NARCOMS Registry. NARCOMS is a national multi-
center research program committed to accelerating the development of better treatment
options and health care services for individuals with multiple sclerosis. Your participation
will help make our efforts successful.
Be assured that the NARCOMS MS Patient Registry:
- is always voluntary
- is a method whereby we can quickly notify patients of research studies for which they are
- eligible so that they can decide if they wish to participate
- is an important tool to accelerate research leading to more effective treatments for MS
- is a confidential questionnaire maintained in a secure environment
ThePatient Registry is NOT:
- a commitment to participate in any particular research study
- an expense to you - it is completely free to enrol
- a mailing list for advertising or for raising funds
- available to anyone without your permission
Please return your completed registry in the enclosed stamped and self-addressed envelope. If
you have any questions, please feel free to call me.
Sincerely,
Olympia Hadjimichael, M.P.H.
